Caractérisation ultrasonore de l’os spongieux.

Contact : Frédéric Padilla, Quentin Grimal, Pascal Laugier.

We develop numerical and theoretical methods for the investigation of the relationships between cancellous bone properties and ultrasonic parameters. In recent years, our research focused on (i) measurements and modelling of single and multiple scattering, (ii) analysis of ultrasound propagation in transmission through cancellous bone structures with the goal of providing insights into the influence of bone structure on Biot slow and fast waves and (iii) solving the inverse problem. We are also involved in the experimental validation of various in vivo QUS (quantitative ultrasound) devices.
