[APPLICATION CLOSED] post Doc in bone ultrasonic characterization

We will open a post-doc position at LIP before the end of the year 2010. The focus will be on the characterization of bone with novel ultrasound techniques.

The bone research group of the Laboratoire d’Imagerie Paramétrique (LIP) located in Paris (France), is seeking a post-doctoral fellow for a one- year position with the option of an extension. We are looking for a highly motivated researcher with an interest in an interdisciplinary work in the framework of an European network.

Our team aims to develop new techniques for the assessment of bone quality in vivo as well as in vitro, using ultrasonic waves. We are involved in modeling, instrumentation and technology transfer. The post-doctoral fellow will be involved in a project aiming at the determination of cortical bone properties in vivo.

The ideal candidate should have an excellent university PhD degree in physics or engineering and a strong background in ultrasound or system iden- ti-cation and signal processing. The position is open immediately. The salary will be in the range 2000-2500 euro per month depending on quali-cation.
