The laboratory
(Unit "UMR 7613") is
located in the P. and M. Curie University's campus and is associated to
the CNRS (Scientific National Research Council : Centre National
de la Recherche Scientifique), being entitled : "Synthèse,
structure et Fonction de Molécules Bioactives" (Syntheses,
Structure and Function of Bioactive Molecules).
The UMR 7613 is constituted of different teams specialized in bioorganic
chemistry with strong interconnections to NMR and mass
spectrometry. Researchers
from UMR 7613 have been initially trained in either chemisty,
biology or physics.
The different research projects are directed towards enzymes, receptors,
DNA or membrane studies. A better understanding of both the molecular
and cellular mechanisms, as well as of the interactions dynamics associated
pluridisciplinary coexisting competences within the Laboratory :
*
organic synthesis
* NMR, UV, mass spectroscopy
* biochemistry, cerll
culture, molecular biology
* pharmacology
*
enzymology
The main goals actually explored
deal with pharmacology, biotechnology.
The mass spectrometry team has also competences and research activities
in developping methods and instrumets. The NMR team's research are
mainly devoted to structural biology (proteins and peptides).
PhD
students come from different Masters,
with major either in chemistry, biology, pharmacology or physico-chemistry.
The UMR 7613 is affiliated to two pos-graduate formations (Ecoles
Doctorales) :
- Chimie
Moléculaire et
- Inter///Bio
